BPA Free

Yesterday I traded in the last of my way too many Nalgene bottles for BPA free versions. Months ago, Nalgene stated that there was no evidence to believe that BPA was dangerous for humans, and then the next day announced that they were changing all of their bottles to BPA free. Guilty. Doing that is like denying that you committed a crime and skipping town the next day. Just admit it!
So after a few months of forgetting them every time I went to the store, I finally traded in the last three for some fancy new ones. I was holding out for a better color than the basic blue and yellow, and I'm really happy with these. Yeah, remember what I said about being a nerd in the last post.
Now I just have to break them in, and by break them in, I mean throw them down the driveway into oncoming traffic.

I have the immense privilege to be sitting right across from Maddog Medic in the flesh. We aren't speaking, though he is listening to me. Want to solve this riddle? Clothing Removal

Last week I had a patient who fell from her horse while jumping at a show. When I got there the BLS crew had immobilized her and, well, that was about it. She was complaining of neck pain and at that moment couldn't remember what had happened. I used my horsey knowledge to build up a healthy rapport with a scared patient. In general, not a lot was wrong with her. My biggest problem was that she was on the backboard and still had on all of her fancy English riding clothes. I made my best efforts to get off her button up shirt with high collar and black outer riding jacket, but it caused her pain, and then I made it worse. Worse than falling off your horse, worse than the public embarrasment of having an ambulance called for you, worse than defenitly losing your show class, was the stupid paramedic who cut off your expensive riding clothes. Well, Well, Well

Well, well, well, well, well.  I think 5 wells are enough.   I haven't blogged in over a year.  I am only here because facebook reminded me that my blogiversary was this week.   I even took the picture a day away from the blog and did it on Instagram in 2021.  HOW DISLOYAL! I spent this last year getting my feet wet in urgent care.  What a mixed bag of a career path.  Why not blog about all the crazy things I've seen?  I'm not sure.  One reason is I have a constant fear of HIPPA violations while working within my community.  Don't worry, I do have a list of funny things that have happened written down that I should entertain you with.   I would like to blog again as I've learned is that I need a creative outlet.  I need a stress relief.  I need a project.  I had (self diagnosed) depression earlier this winter as the covid positivity rate in my practice went from acceptable to probably 80-90% and I cance...
